Palm Beach Daily News: Bring on the dessert
Alongside their beef dishes, grilled fish and sauce-glistened pastas, Palm Beach restaurants increasingly are featuring what they hope adds a touch of sweetness to challenging times: desserts.
After transitioning to takeout and/or delivery services after coronavirus restrictions last month forced dining-room closures, restaurants in town are spotlighting everything from crème brulée to raspberry tarts.
Italian ricotta cheesecake and chocolate-and-hazelnut “gianduia” cake are among the desserts now offered at Sant Ambroeus, which also features St. Honoré cake with 68-percent dark-chocolate cream. The Royal Poinciana Plaza restaurant also features gelato.
