Palm Beach Daily News: Race kickoff is twice as nice

Palm Beach Daily News February 11, 2020

The grand marshals of the second annual Race of Hope hosted a doubleheader celebration to kick off the event.

The event took place Jan. 24.

Audrey Gruss and Scott Snyder hosted the evening at the Royal Poinciana Plaza for donors, sponsors and committee members.

The night, honoring the Hope For Depression Research Foundation, began in the La Clara showroom with a caviar-and-cocktails reception and a welcome toast from Gruss and Snyder, founder and board member, respectively, of the group.

Gruss announced that hundreds of people were already signed up for the race, a 5K walk/run with an on-island course.

“You can run, you can walk, you can stroll, you can bring your children, your babies in strollers, your dog — whatever keeps you moving,” said Snyder.

After cocktails, the 50-plus guests moved to Sant Ambroeus, where a private dining area held two long tables decorated with mounds of roses in shades of yellow, the HDRF’s signature color.
